9-11 Memorial Healing Fields

True Patriots Care was proud to present Healing Fields at three locations, each offering a moving display of American flags honoring the lives lost, the heroes who rose in courage, and the enduring strength of our nation. Together, these displays created a powerful and unifying experience, inviting all who visit to reflect on the legacy of 9/11 and the enduring ideals of our nation.
As we mark 25 years since September 11, 2001, we remember the lives lost and honor the bravery of first responders and everyday citizens who showed extraordinary courage. In that moment of tragedy, America stood united – and that spirit continues to define us.
At the same time, we celebrated 250 years of American independence, recognizing the generations who have defended our freedoms and upheld the values symbolized by our flag.
Community members were invited to walk among the flags, reflect, and participate in this meaningful tribute. Each event was open 24 hours and free and open to the public.

For $50, you can sponsor one American flag that will become part of our Healing Fields display. Your sponsored flag will be proudly displayed during the commemoration and will be available for you to take home after the event as a lasting symbol of remembrance and patriotism.
Our goal is to sponsor all 4,200 flags needed for these historic displays.

The Oak Brook Polo Grounds
700 Oak Brook Road, Oak Brook, IL
2,977 American flags, each with individual biographies to honor each of the innocent victims lost on 9/11, covered the grounds of Oak Brook to honor the lives lost on this tragic day in American history. Arranged in near-perfect rows, the memorial invited visitors to reflect, remember, and honor those who have served their communities and country.
The display, known as the Healing Field, transformed Oak Brook’s Polo Grounds into a sea of red, white, and blue. American flags flew in sync, with each representing the lives touched by sacrifice, courage, and resilience. For visitors, the experience was both visually striking and deeply emotional.
This was the 3rd year Oak Brook will host the Healing Field, having done so for both the 15th and 20th anniversaries of the September 11 attacks.
In addition to the flag display itself, the Healing Field event included opening ceremonies, musical performances, guest speakers, and tributes recognizing veterans and first responders. For many visitors, the Healing Field served as both a memorial and a place of connection. Veterans, military families, and community members shared stories and reflections while walking through the field, while parents used the display as an opportunity to teach younger generations about service, sacrifice, and the lasting impact of 9/11.

Displayed were 403 American flags in solemn tribute to the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001. At every site, 343 flags honored the firefighters and 60 flags honored the police officers and Port Authority personnel who lost their lives in the attack on the Twin Towers.
